Peyman S. Ardestani

Principal

Peyman S. Ardestani, CFA is the founder and visionary behind Aquila Consulting Services, LLC. Mr. Ardestani founded Aquila following two and half years as Chief Financial Officer at Tennenbaum Capital Partners, LLC, a prominent $7 billion private equity firm in Los Angeles, California. Prior to taking his post as CFO, Mr. Ardestani held various senior-level management positions at the Los Angeles offices of BNY Mellon and Trust Company of the West.

In all, Mr. Ardestani has more than 15 years of accounting and back-office operations experience. He has been instrumental in designing and implementing various projects aimed at increasing productivity and reducing costs for each firm he's been associated with. Mr. Ardestani holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University, Northridge, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. 

 

Narman S. Murtaza

Director

Narman S. Murtaza is the Director of Aquila Consulting Services, LLC. Mr. Murtaza joined Aquila following two and a half years as Assistant Vice President of Finance at Tennenbaum Capital Partners, LLC, a prominent $7 billion private equity firm in Los Angeles, California. Previously, Mr. Murtaza occupied management positions at the Los Angeles offices of BNY Mellon and Trust Company of the West. Mr. Murtaza has ten years of accounting and back-office operations experience and has been integral to the design and adoption of efficiency-promoting practices throughout his career. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles, and is a Level II candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst program. 

 

Carolyn Yu

Senior Associate

Miss Yu joined Aquila Consulting Services, LLC in May of 2009 as a Senior Associate.   Miss Yu has over 12 years of investment operations experience specializing in Bank Debt securities and system conversions. Prior to joining Aquila Consulting, Miss Yu spent five and half years at Tennenbaum Capital Partners, LLC, a prominent $7 Billion Private Equity firm in Los Angeles, California where she was responsible for managing the firm’s overall Bank Debt operations as well as back-office trade settlements and support.  Prior to Tennenbaum, Miss Yu oversaw a group of Bank Debt Administrators at BNY Mellon in Los Angeles, California. Previous to BNY Mellon, Miss Yu worked at Union Bank of California’s Middle Market Group in Orange, California, where she administered the bank group’s syndicated loans serving as the Syndicated Loan Agent.   Prior to Union Bank, Miss Yu held a senior level position at Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO) in Newport Beach, California, focusing on fixed income and derivative securities as well as system implementation.

Miss Yu holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a minor in Business Economics from California State University, Long Beach, as well as a MBA degree from the University of Southern California.
